Aridditive closes a €500,000 Pre-Seed funding round led by BeAble Capital with participation from Suma Capital

The startup will leverage the funds to accelerate the development of its concrete 3D printing technology, driving digitalization and sustainability in the construction sector.

Barcelona, November 6, 2024 – Aridditive has closed a €500,000 Pre-Seed funding round, led by BeAble Capital with participation from Suma Capital. The company, a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and CIM UPC, was born from more than 10 years of research. This financial backing, along with the Startup Capital support from ACCIÓ, will allow the company to accelerate the development of its concrete 3D printing technology, focused on automation, digitalization, and sustainability within the construction sector.

Founded in August 2023, Aridditive’s mission is to provide new technological tools for concrete precast production. Its goal is to transform construction through innovative solutions that optimize each phase of the building process, applying proprietary 3D printing technology to create digital twins that ensure more efficient, sustainable, and certified manufacturing.

The investment received, along with the strategic support of BeAble Capital and Suma Capital, will be key in advancing Aridditive’s business strategy. Upcoming milestones include proof-of-concept testing of its technology before the end of the year, with a planned official launch at a major event in the spring of 2025.

“We are very grateful to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and CIM UPC for their support since our inception,” said Roger Uceda, CEO and co-founder of Aridditive. “We also want to thank BeAble Capital and Suma Capital for trusting in our project. We face a significant challenge, but we are approaching it with determination and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.”

Arnau Cumelles, COO and co-founder, added: “This funding round will allow us to take decisive steps in validating our 3D printing technology and continue advancing toward our mission to digitalize and make the construction sector more sustainable. We are convinced that the proof-of-concept trials we will conduct this year will be a significant milestone in showcasing the great potential of our technology in 2025.”
