Parc Taulí: sculptural signage for a healthcare environment
Manufacturing and installation of 3D printed concrete dimensional letters to configure the Parc Taulí name as an element of identity, orientation and urban reference in Sabadell.
A recognition point within a high-intensity public space
The intervention at Parc Taulí, in Sabadell, consists of incorporating dimensional letters that configure the name of the site as an element of identity and urban reference. Located in an intensively used environment, the pieces act not only as signage, but also as a recognizable point within the public space.
3D concrete printing gives the letters a contemporary, precise and consistent presence, creating a clear and legible dialogue with the hospital environment.
The ensemble reinforces the visibility of the place, adding a new layer of urban communication integrated into the landscape and adapted to the requirements of durability, readability and everyday use in a healthcare facility.
Identity, orientation and physical presence
From urban signage to a built element
The proposal transforms signage into a physical piece, with geometry, volume, structural base and its own presence within the outdoor space.

Autonomous letters with structural base and ground anchoring
Each letter is resolved as an autonomous element, 3D printed and associated with a specific base with metal reinforcement, designed to be anchored to the ground through a system equivalent to a traditional foundation.
The pieces are completed in the factory through structural filling, optimizing assembly times on site and ensuring rigorous control of the construction process.
They are then transported and installed as finished units, reducing on-site intervention and enabling efficient execution.
From printed piece to installed signage
The letters were manufactured as independent units, prepared for transport, placement and anchoring in the outdoor environment of Parc Taulí.

A signage system manufactured as construction pieces
The project demonstrates how 3D concrete printing can be used to develop outdoor dimensional signage with design, structural, transport and installation criteria.
Signage definition
The Parc Taulí name is configured as a set of dimensional letters with urban presence, legible scale and integration into the healthcare environment.
Design of autonomous pieces
Each letter is designed as an independent unit, with geometry, base, reinforcement and anchoring system adapted to its position.
3D concrete manufacturing
The pieces are 3D printed in concrete, structurally completed and prepared in the factory to reduce on-site work.
Transport and installation
The letters are transported as finished units and installed on site, combining digital precision with robust implementation solutions.
What Parc Taulí demonstrates
An urban signage intervention showing how 3D printed concrete can provide identity, robustness and architectural value in intensively used public spaces.
Visible identity
The letters turn the name of the place into a physical reference element, reinforcing orientation and the institutional presence of Parc Taulí.
Robust materiality
3D printed concrete provides strength, weight, texture and durability, especially relevant in a high-traffic outdoor space.
Efficient execution
Prefabricating each letter makes it possible to reduce on-site intervention time and better control geometry, finish and assembly.
Dimensional signage with urban presence and institutional readability
The result is a set of dimensional letters that works as signage, urban landmark and identity element. 3D concrete printing enables a monolithic, precise solution consistent with the public character of the environment.
For Aridditive, Parc Taulí represents a clear application of additive manufacturing to urban identity, institutional signage and public space projects where the piece must be recognizable, resistant and buildable.
